Someone Called Amy Winehouse a Role Model.
We’ve all witnessed the momentary rise and spectacular fall from grace that is Amy Winehouse. I have to admit, I loved “Rehab” when I first heard it. I even went out and got the Back to Black album. It was great to hear someone doing music that sounded so genuinely old school. Then the tabloid stories hit. And they kept coming. She’s cancelling shows last minute. She’s in and out of… ahem… rehab. Videos are popping up with some fairly incriminating content.
I thought to myself, “Self, I wonder what she looks and sounds like live.”
Well, it turns out that we live in the day and age of instant video. So I youtubed her (yes, it’s a verb now — you heard it here first) to see what happens when a trainwreck hits a stage. This was actually one of the more flattering videos I found.
Notice how she only forgets the lyrics a few times.
The saddest part? Someone commented this video, claiming that Amy Winehouse was her role model.
Excuse me, young lady, but just what part of Amy Winehouse’s life do you wish to pattern yours after?
